Broughton Bank Cottage

Cartmel
Sleeps 4
Bedrooms 2
Dog Friendly

A former derelict stone building, originally thought to have been a coal house, has been renovated to offer comfortable self-catering accommodation near Cartmel. It has its own drive and secluded raised woodland garden, making it a picturesque location all year round.

The cottage's back door is just a few yards from the owners' home but still feels entirely separate. Through the front door, it has its own garden and is not overlooked, ensuring a genuinely peaceful and relaxing setting for your holiday home.

Broughton Bank Cottage is ideal for guests looking to Visit Cartmel Race Course, but it's equally ideal for exploring the South Lakes.

Green Tourism Gold Award:

The cottage has been designed on sustainable lines: there are solar panels on-site, and the underfloor heating comes from the ground source. Even the materials used have been sourced sustainably: a dying pine tree was felled, cut into planks, stored and dried naturally over time and has been used to make all the doors, skirting boards and most of the stairs. Floors are made from rich walnut wood.
